Hello, hello, hello and welcome to Fit and Fabulous with me, Dr. Orlena. Super excited that you are here listening. Today's either Facebook Live or podcast. Today I want to talk about you. Yes, you and I want to tell you how I know whether you can make changes or not. So if we take a step back and have a think about, okay, you are wherever you are and perhaps you are not eating as healthily as you want.

Perhaps you are wanting to lose weight. Perhaps you want more energy, perhaps you just want to be a little bit more healthy, and it may be that you understand what you need to do to get there. But a big part of you or a secret part of you, which is really holding you back, is whispering. It's not gonna work for me.

Embracing the Journey: Understanding the Power of Self-Discovery

I can't do it. The deep down you have this worry, this doubt, this recurring thought, which is saying, it's not gonna work for me. And it might be, it's not gonna work for me because I'm so busy, I don't have time to implement this. It might be, it's not gonna work for me because, I've tried everything before and I know that I know what works and what doesn't work, and things have stopped working.

It might be, I don't like doing those things, so whatever that exact thought is, the outcome is you do not believe that you can make changes and that you can get to. What I call healthy amazing you. So what is healthy? Amazing you. Healthy, amazing you is where you are leading a healthy life, a healthy lifestyle.

So you are eating healthily. That includes your relationship with food, that includes emotional eating. You are moving your body in a way that lights you up. You are also doing healthy things like getting enough sleep and looking at your emotions and mindset. And when you do all of that, Your energy levels go up.

You become confident that you are leading your most healthy life. You are happy that you are leading your most healthy life. And because you are paying attention to emotions and doing things that you enjoy, actually your happiness levels go up as well. Now if you are thinking about weight, you are losing weight as well.

Now sometimes you do have to pay a little bit more attention to get the weight off. It depends where you are on, on that journey, but essentially, You know what you need to do? You need to pay attention to Dr. Orlena's four pillars.

What are Dr. Orlena’s Four Pillars of Health?

They are healthy eating, plant-based, med style, diet, exercise that lights you up.

That's pillar number two. Pillar number three, delicious, healthy sleep. And pillar number four, emotional wellness and your mindset and all of those things, stress levels all comes into emotional wellness. And as well included in that is relationships. That's part of your emotional wellness. In my book, So you kind of know the road path to get there, but there's this big secret doubt that says, oh, it's not gonna work for me.

Because, because, because, because, and that thought is not a helpful thought, because that thought is really, really holding you back. When we think about our thoughts, when we take a step back and we look at our brain and we think, okay. My I. Let's say, for example, I want to do healthy eating and I'm going to do plant-based Mediterranean style diet.

But if a part of your brain is saying, it's not gonna work for me, it's not gonna make, it's not the answer, it's not gonna help me lose weight, then you are not going to do it. At the first hurdle, you're gonna give up and go, well, it doesn't work anyhow. So what's the point? If you don't believe in yourself, you aren't going to make the changes because there's a big part of your brain saying, what's the point?

Breaking Free from Limiting Beliefs: Overcoming Doubts and Fears

And you listen to that brain. Now, how do I know that you can make changes? Well, I know that you are human and you have a human body, and you have a human mind. And when you start working on your mindset you can make changes. So when I'm, for example, looking at my clients and thinking, okay, how do I help my clients?

I see some of my clients do amazingly well, really, really easily. We focus on. We focus on mindset and if emotional eating is really a big part of the puzzle, it's what's holding you back. That's the first place to start. Start on emotional eating, fix that so that you can do healthy eating and you will watch the weight come off, and then you might want to do something else, like increase your energy levels.

So it is entirely possible. Now, how can I tell who is going to. Do well and who isn't. Well, let me take another step back and think, okay, how is it that I help people? Well, my Jo zone of genius is helping people figure it out and helping people get to the crops of why they are stuck and what they need to do to move forwards.

Now, you might think that is just saying, okay, I need to get up and exercise in the morning. Sometimes it is as easy as that, but normally it's. Unearthing that thought that is holding you back and really getting to grips with, okay, why aren't you getting up and exercising the morning? Or, why are you turning to food for comfort?

Why are you doing this? And really allowing yourself, giving yourself the space to get honest with yourself and go, okay, I am doing this because I don't feel valued or because I've got this habit of doing this. And so the path is, okay, make a decision. Make a plan of action. And then carry that forward.

Nurturing Body and Mind: The Key to a Fit and Healthy Lifestyle

And that is my zone of genius, is holding people accountable to the plan of action. Now, I'm not saying you don't ever change your plan. Obviously if your plan isn't working, you have to change your plan. And do something that is working. But for example, you say, okay, I'm gonna get up and I'm gonna exercise in the morning and the next week I say, well, did you do that?

And they say, no, I totally forgot. I'm like, okay, you've got another opportunity this week. And really allowing yourself or focusing on that thing that is going to move you forwards the most. So that you can get to where you want to get to, but it's really difficult to be able to go, okay, I'm gonna do all the things.

Finding Balance: Prioritizing Self-Care and Well-being

All the things at once. You can do all the things at once for a few weeks, a week or two week maximum, and then you get overwhelmed. Now, there are a few people who. Really that does work for, but most people are busy leading a busy life and they need to focus on one small change, another small change, another small change, and really build that up and stick to building that up.

Now the problem with your small change is that life is busy, lifeing, you get busy, you forget about your small change. Something else becomes your priority, and so your priority of doing the healthy thing falls out of the window. Now, if you are. If you have an accountability partner, so if you're going to coaching, and it doesn't have to be my coaching, but if you've got an accountability partner, you've got a group, someone who is holding you accountable, coming to that group means that you get back on track.

Overcoming Obstacles: Strategies for Perseverance and Resilience

So some of my clients say, do you know what? Off. I come to coaching every single week and I do really well for three days, and then I fall off the wagon and then I get back every single week. Well, that is their journey that they go on. Some people do it really quickly. Some people not so much. But I can tell you which people are going to do well and which people aren't going to do well, and by well, I mean get the ultimate result that they want.

I e stick with it. And those are the people who carry on coming to coaching and carry on saying, yes, this is a priority in my life. So can you make the changes? Yes, of course you can make the changes. You have the capability to make the changes and to figure out what those changes are. You might just need to change your mindset a little bit about it from, for example, it's totally impossible to, okay, how do I figure this out?

Now, can you do it by yourself? Well, I can't answer that question. There are some people who really can do it by themselves. Normally those people are motivated by something like a medical scare or you know, they're really determined. They've decided this is something that I'm really a hundred percent going to do by myself.

There are people who are like that. The vast majority of people are busy doing other stuff, and they need people to support them and to help them, but that does not mean that you can't make changes. Yes, you can absolutely make changes with that help and support and that help and support is a big piece of the puzzle.

Creating Positive Habits: Small Steps for Big Transformations

So when I listen to my clients, and so for the example I gave of the lady who. Focused on emotional eating. She says, I couldn't have done it without the support. I know that I'm in a different place because I had the support. Because essentially she kept going when if she'd been doing it by herself, she would have given up.

And let's be totally frank and totally honest. That means that along your journey, there are gonna be times when it's difficult when you think, okay, I want to jack it in. I want to not bother. It's not working. Now, the problem with that thinking is that's when you jack it in. That's when you don't do anything, and that's the danger zone.

Surrounding Yourself with Support: Building a Strong Network

Whereas if you've got support and accountability, you keep going, you keep going, and you get back on track more quickly. So say you're doing it by yourself, life happens. You fall off the wagon, you get back on track three months later because life has happened and you haven't got that weekly accountability.

Whereas if you've got an accountability par partner or group program or something that's going on, After a few days, you're like, ah, yes, I forgot. Now I'm getting back on track, but only a few days has passed as opposed to three months, four months, whatever it is. Oh my goodness. Yes. I'm gonna get back on track.

So it's not that there's no obstacles, but it's that you get over the obstacles. And I think one thing that, if I could say to you, look from here to. Amazing health for you. You are going to face 300 obstacles. You're gonna face one a week. I don't know how many, but if I say to you, anticipate those obstacles up front, then when you get to an obstacle, you can just go, oh, this is one of those obstacles that Dr. Orlena was talking about. Okay, I've got this. I've fallen flat on my face, but you know what, I'm gonna pick myself up and I am going to keep going. And that's it. It's as simple as that. So can you make changes? Yes, absolutely. You can make changes. I know that every single person who has a human body and a human mind, given the right tools, can make changes.

If they want to make changes, that might be that you go, do you know what? I don't want to make changes. Okay, that's fine. You don't want to make changes. But if you truly want to make changes, yes, you can absolutely make changes. Am I saying that I can help everybody? No, I'm not saying that I can help everybody because not everybody wants to do what I am teaching.

I am teaching healthy eating. Med style diet, plant-based diet. I'm teaching how to lead a healthy life so that you lose weight so that your energy levels go up so that you lead your most healthy life. Not everybody wants exactly what I teach, and so if you don't want that and you are thinking, that isn't what I want, I want something different.

I want to take supplements, I want to take this pill, I want to go on one of those weight loss tablets, rather than look at my emotional eating, then I'm not the person for you. I teach healthy eating. I teach you how to manage your life so that you can create this healthy life so that you can be your most healthy and vibrant you.

So, But the question I want you to understand is, can you make changes? Yes you can. You may need some help making changes that may or may not be me, but can you make changes? Yes, 100%. If you want to make changes and you have the right help, you can make changes. So I hope you feel like you can do this. You can do this.

So what have I got to help you? Well, number one. I've got a free event coming up. Oh my goodness, I forgot that I haven't mentioned this on my podcast. So amazing. Drum roll, please. Free event that is coming up on June, starting the week of June the fifth. So it's called Positively Healthy Weight Loss. And I'm gonna be teaching my exact method that the, the journey that I teach my clients.

And we are gonna be going through some of the big, big obstacles that hold people up. So emotional eating is a really big thing that I'm very keen on getting to the bottom of because it really holds people back. So many people say to me, but I eat relatively healthy except, dot, dot, dot, the emotional eating.

And if I could just fix my relationship with food, healthy eating would be an absolute breeze. So we're gonna really be focusing on emotional eating. And guess the name, positively Healthy. We're really gonna be looking at mindset, and one of the tools that I really, really love thinking about is our positive brain and our negative brain, and you've guessed it.

Negative brain says, it's not gonna work. I can't do it. It's impossible. All of those things. Positive brain says, how do I make this work? Positive brain says, I accept this situation that I am in. I need to make a plan. I need to think about the next thing that I'm going forwards. That I'm gonna be doing.

Positively Healthy Weight Loss Week June 5th

And all of those obstacles that we talk about, we talk of them, we look at them as golden learning opportunities because they are an opportunity to understand what's going on. So those are the few things that we're gonna be discussing, looking into diving deeply into. The week of June the fifth. So come and sign up.

It's a totally, totally free event. Now, if you are thinking, okay, Dr. Alina, I really understand. I love your free events. I'm gonna come to your free event, but actually I really want to chat to you. I hear what you're saying and I want to understand what is going on for me. I have a few places in the next few weeks to do get Unstuck Chats.

Now, I've done these before and these are amazing chats to understand what is going on for you. And why you are feeling stuck, why you are thinking, okay, I can't move forwards. So if you would like to chat, if you're interested in working with me and you think, okay, this is a really good opportunity to chat me, to get to know what's going on and why I'm not making the forward progress that I want to make, then book one of those Get Unstuck Chats and it will really highlight to you what is going on.

What are those thoughts that you are thinking? Oh my goodness. It's impossible. If you're thinking it's impossible. It is impossible. What's that quote? Whether you think you can, whether you think you can't, you are right, and it really starts with your thoughts and your mindset. So if you're interested, come and book one of those.

Amazing. Get Unstuck Called. Otherwise, I hope to see you in the free event, positively Healthy weightloss starting June the fifth. Have a fabulous week. Take care. Bye-bye.
